Who we are
Women's Healthcare Direct Ltd was formed as an online medical healthcare information company specialising in healthcare issues for women. One of the founding members is a Consultant Gynaecologist with 27 years experience as an NHS Consultant.
The companies founder members established this service as a direct result of the negative experiences of several female acquaintances.
Our unique service is built around our Consultants:- Professor John Erian, Nick Hill, Stefanos Chandakas and Richard Henry, who are UK based, fellows and tutors of the Royal college of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, with nearly 60 years experience in women's healthcare between them. John, Nick, Stefanos and Richard are ideally placed to provide tailor-made evidenced based information for women with specific healthcare concerns.

Professor John Erian MB, BCh, MRCOG, FRCOG
Our Consultant team is led by Professor John Erian an established Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over 20 years experience in the field. Professor Erian is the lead author and editor of all medical information provided on Women's Healthcare Direct.
John is a Senior Consultant Gynaecologist and Minimal Access Surgeon at the Princess Royal University Hospital, Kent since 1985.
- Formerly Medical Director for the Bromley Hospitals NHS Trust (Oct 2003 - Nov 2005).
- Chairman of Endoscopic Laser Foundation
- Chairman of South East Gynaecological Endoscopy Society
- Lead Clinician for Minimal Access Surgery, Colposcopy, Infertility and Assisted Reproduction Services at Princess Royal University Hospital, Kent.
- Member of the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE) and previously a committee member for four years.
- Regular convenor and trainer to the Hamburg European Surgical Institute (ESI) and Minimal Access Surgical Centre for Athens University.
- Fellow and Accredited preceptor to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and Royal College of Surgeons.
- Acknowledged medico-legal expert in the field of Minimal Access Surgery.
- Honorary Professor to Iaso Hospital in Athens.
- Honorary Professor in Gynaecology at Athens University.
